March 3rd, 2020!

Hello all,

Today was a really busy day for us! 

We got to go to the Learning Commons and take out new books with Mrs. Laythorpe, and we worked on our Poetry books!

With this issue coming up once more in our class, I am again asking for your help! I have found an increase in certain items that students have been bringing to school that are not related to learning and have been causing a distraction for us in the classroom. Among these items are vitamins, makeup items, electronics, and scented items such as body sprays and hand sanitizers. Please keep these items at home - I have let the students know that from now forward if they are at school and are a distraction then I will collect them and ask that a parent/caregiver come and pick them up from me. Thank you so much for your support on this, we truly have a wonderful group of students and parents!

Please read the two poems (one about Valentines and one about a snowman) in your childs poetry folder with your child, sign them to say you've read them, and send the folder back to school please (within the next week or so).

Also we will be doing a project in our classroom soon that discusses where in the world our family is from! If you wouln't mind, would you please write down your families country of origin on a piece of paper and send it to school with your child. Otherwise, please feel free to email me that information. We will be making a globe and marking where each family is from to show and celebrate the diversity we have in our classroom!

Please remember that this Friday is a PM Kindergarten Day so we will not have school!
