November 8th, 2019!

Hi everyone,

On Friday we had an extremely busy day, including some unexpected schedule changes - all of the Kindergartens did extremely well despite how busy it was! We did not get to paint unfortunately, however we will be able to paint tomorrow and Wednesday!

We started the day with Gym, instead of Music as normal. We then came back and had a small snack break and then headed to our Remembrance Day Assembly. We did exceptionally well with remembering that this assembly was serious and we sat nicely the entire time - the grade threes sang some wonderful songs for us, and we even got to hear a Brigadier General Nic Stanton speak!
After our assembly we had some time to read a story and finish our snack, then we went to Music class. After music we came back and had some center time where we got to choose what center to learn and play at, and just like that it was the end of our school day and we got ready to go home! 

You will notice that I have sent home the Poetry books with your child - please read this poem with your child (reading together is such a positive experience to have regularly!) sign your signature or initials on the poem to show that you and your child have read it together and send it back! We will be doing this up to two times a month, so no pressure to return it immediately (but please do return it when you're done). 

Tomorrow we have learning commons with Mrs. Laythorpe - please send your child to school with their book and book bag if you haven't already 😀

Lastly, we are still in need of at least one more volunteer in order to go on our field trip on the 29th - if you have your volunteer clearance and would like to help us out, please email me! Also we have Parent Teacher Conferences coming up on the 20th and 21st that you will be able to sign up for using your powerschool account online!
