Hi everyone,
Today we learned more about Remembrance Day and we read a poem/drew a picture to go with it! Tomorrow we will be having our Remembrance Day Assembly, so we discussed how to act in a serious assembly like this. We talked about how we don't clap during that time, why it's important to keep our hands to ourselves and be respectful listeners! Please remind your child tonight that this assembly will be serious, that we will be having a moment of silence, and that we do not clap.
We also continued our number work, read a story about Splat the Cat, and had Calendar.
At the end of this week, we will be bringing home our poetry books - please read the poem with your child, initial or sign the poem page (your signature or your initials, in pen) so I know that you have read it, and send it back! We will be bringing home a new poem about two times a month to read with you!
Tomorrow is an AM Kindergarten day, and it will be extremely busy, as we have our assembly, then gym, then music all in a row! Please note that we will also be painting tomorrow, so please be mindful of that when picking your child's clothes for tomorrow!
We are still in need of a volunteer for our field trip on November 29th - if you have your volunteer clearance and would like to volunteer please email me!
Thanks,
Ms. Brinson
