Hi everyone,
Today we reviewed the numbers that we know and showed them in many different ways - on a number line, a dice, pictures, tally marks, the number, and the word! We also discussed how to show it on a ten frame! Number sense is so important, so we will spend lots of time on this in kindergarten. We even have centers that are all about number sense!
We got to go to the learning commons today. That being said, if we haven't had a previous book returned yet, we wont be able to sign out a new one. We have asked several students to check for certain books at home. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to email me at knbrinson@cbe.ab.ca.
Another, more serious topic that we discussed today is Remembrance Day - as we will be having a Remembrance Day assembly this Friday. We discussed why we recognize the day, why it is important, and we read a story called A Poppy is to Remember by Heather Patterson!
