November 14th, 2019!

Hi everyone,

Today we went to Mrs. Stableford's classroom and were also joined by Mrs. Turners class to practice our songs for the upcoming Winter Concert (in December) - we did very well for it being our first time singing these songs! We also learned a new math game (video below), finished our art work, and had our lockdown practice (which went very well).

We have been working on following directions and keeping calm in our classroom, and sometimes when we get too excited we have a whole class calm down time where we turn off our voices, listen to a chime, and practice breathing in and out. Sometimes we do this by resting at our tables and sometimes we do this while sitting at the carpet. This is such a positive way to refocus ourselves, and we learned that we can do it with our whole class, with a friend, or by ourselves - ask your child to show you their "calm down breathing" or "rainbow breath"!

Nothing in the blue folders today, and AM Kindergarten DOES NOT have school tomorrow.

**Field trip forms will be going home on Monday - please sign and return them by the following Monday (you can return them in the blue folder, or give them to me at PT Conferences)**

Also registration for Parent Teacher Conferences will open tomorrow at 6:00pm - please go onto your powerschool account (or create an account if you do not already have one) and select a time that works well for you to have a conference. During these conferences, I will share your child's results from our Early Years Evaluation and we can speak about any questions or concerns you may have.

Thanks everyone and have a great evening,

Ms. Brinson
