Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Darcy Turning Robe, an Indigenous Elder, into our school. We discussed as a class that different cultures do things in different ways, and why that is to be celebrated! We talked about how some cultures have music that sounds different, or speak different languages, and that every culture is beautiful in it's own way! We were lucky enough to get to hear Darcy drum and sing for us - we even got to sing Old MacDonald with him! Here is a video of our time:
We also got to choose our Math Centers today, we discussed what day Thanksgiving is on the calendar, and we started reading a book called Narwhal: Unicorn of the Sea!
