We did lots of exciting learning in Kindergarten today! We got to use our senses (sight, touch, and smell mainly) to observe and draw some pumpkins today! We saw a white one, yellow one, green one, and orange one! We also came up with some great questions about our pumpkins like: why are they so heavy? Why are they in all different colours? Where do they grow? Where does the stem come from?
We also got to see Ms Kelsey and Ms Marissa again today, and they taught us all about using our whole body to show we are listening!
Of course we also had centers today, and read the story "The Gruffalo"!
It was a very busy day today, packed with fun!
Two quick reminders:
1. Please speak to your children about being kind to others. This is something we continuously work on in Kindergarten, because we want all children to feel happy at school. The main thing we are working on as a class right now is listening when someone else tells you to stop doing something, and coming to tell the teacher if someone is continuing to bother you. This is so important for a positive classroom environment!
2. We have library tomorrow, please return your library books in order to sign out new ones!
Have a wonderful evening and see you all tomorrow,
Ms. Brinson
