Thank you all for your cooperation with our cold "blue day" morning, and coming in as you arrived today! When the temperature drops below -20 (with the wind chill) we will always have a blue day as it is too cold to be outside!
Today was a special day because we had an author and an illustrator come in to read us their book about Halloween! Ask your child about it.
We also had Miss Marissa come in to teach us about feelings, and about pencil grip - we had a great time reading the story The Colour Monster and then colouring our own Colour Monster using our new skill! We also had center time today, as well as a stretching movement break!
In your blue folders today, you'll find a variety of things - one is a form about your family/your celebrations that will need to be filled out and returned back to school, the rest are a variety of things we have worked on at school and can be kept at home!
Remember that November 1st is a non-instructional day, and that on October 31st (Halloween) students may dress in orange and black, they may wear a costume, or they may dress regularly. It will also be Pumpkinella at our school again on Halloween - families may bring in a jack-o-lantern if they so choose to be displayed in the gym along with every other pumpkin and the whole school will be walking around and looking at them and will vote on a winner! If you choose to participate in this you may bring the jack-o-lantern in to the gym BEFORE school (8:55-9:10) - for more information on this please look at the school website under principals message!
Enjoy the snowy day and be safe out there,
Ms. Brinson
