Wednesday, September 11th!

Hi everyone,

Today we practiced our new skill of "reading the pictures" by looking at books with a buddy and making up our own stories with them. We also created and coloured some name cards that we will use to make our table groups each week! 

Our exciting new story of the day, is called The Dot by Peter H Reynolds. We will use this book tomorrow as well, because it focusses on Growth Mindset (this means that we can grow and learn new things even when we sometimes feel that it is challenging)! To go along with this wonderful book, we are going to learn about colours and how they can mix together to make other colours (hint: we will be creating some art tomorrow so if possible, send your child to school in dark coloured clothing). Separately, we have had several snacks that are sent in a loose container accidentally pop open and spill into student backpacks. So when sending your child to school with a snack please pack it into a lunch kit that zips closed or into a plastic bag to avoid spills.
