Today was a busy day for us! We read the book "How Full is Your Bucket?" and began our own class bucket! We will try to fill it by being kind to each other, listening during carpet time, following directions, helping others, etc!
We began an art project (focussed around global citizenship - or as I explained to the students, caring about the world and all of the people in it) - we are making globes using paper plates and paint.
We also finished our art project we have been working on for the past few weeks - first we chose a paper shape since we are learning about shapes, then we wrote our first initial in white crayon and painted the shape. Then we chose yarn colours that make a pattern, and created 3 pictures (also on shapes) that were something that started with our first initial and we attached them to the yarn. They turned out wonderfully! Here's a picture of our new class bulletin board!
Lastly, we learned about the letter F and the sound it makes - and we came up with some wonderful words that start with F!
Please note that this Friday is an AM Kindergarten day, so we DO have school!
