Sorry for my lack of blog post yesterday, I was at home ill. Its that time where the cold is going around again!
Today we went to the Learning Commons with Mrs. Laythorpe. We go to the LC every Tuesday, and cannot sign out a new book if the old one has not been returned. Please try to send your childs book with them every Tuesday, or even before then :-)
We also learned about the four seasons more in depth, for example we learned about temperature, weather, and what nature looks like! Ask your child about it!
We also started working in small groups with Ms. Brinson to practice our letter formation!
Our class has raised almost $270 dollars for the Koalas and Kangaroos - thank you all for your contributions! We are so proud to have such a caring class! Our contest continues to "Guess the Koala's Birthday!". Students may purchase one guess, for a twoonie, and have their guess written on a calendar kept in Mrs. Verstratete's classroom, rm. 20. Contest continues until March 18.
This year, Pink Shirt Day, or Anti-Bullying Day, is on February 26 (TOMORROW). It is a day when people come together by wearing pink shirts to school or work to show they are against bullying. Coventry Hills Students are welcome to wear pink clothing or an accesssory that is pink on this day.
