This blog post will be a bit more lengthy than usual, so thank you in advance for reading it all the way to the end!
Tomorrow we will not be signing out new books, but please return your Learning Commons book to school - as we will just do a quick return trip to the Learning Commons!
Thank you to those of you who sent a stuffie with your child to school today - some students wanted to bring their stuffie home, which was fine for today but tomorrow we will need ALL students to come to school with a stuffie (if you do not have one please let me know and I can certainly help out) that can stay at school until after our performance Thursday night. Please note that students should come to school as normal on Thursday morning (even with our concert, our school day will be just as any other Thursday) and should arrive around 6:00pm for the evening performance (at which point the students come to the classroom and families go to the gym).
Today we had a more formal rehearsal for our concert and the students did very well. Please encourage your child to practice if they feel they would like to or that it would help. We will be doing a more formal practice again tomorrow - we are so excited to show you our wonderful songs! Here is the concert information one more time :-)
The AM Kindergarten students will be participating in the
Christmas Concert on Thursday Dec 19th at 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
Students will be singing 2 songs; The Teddy Bear Twist and Play the Bells to Celebrate!
Students are encouraged to wear clean pajamas to school on the morning of the 19th for our Dress Rehearsal performance and then return in the evening in the same pajamas.
Students will be asked to bring a medium sized "stuffy" to school on Monday, December 16th and leave it at school for the week to practice and for the performance!
You will not need tickets to attend. We are strongly encouraging extended family members with daytime availability to come to the morning or afternoon performances (grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc.) as the evening performances are very busy and seating availability is very limited.
Please bring a donation for the food bank if you are able to when you attend the concert. We will be collecting donations until December 20
